LOYAL ORANGE ORDER
ANNUAL CONFERENCE. (Special to the "Guardian.") TIMARU, This Day. The Grand Lodge sessions of the Loyal Orange Institution were continued yesterday. A resolution was carried that this Grand Lodge deplore the tendency of the present day to depart from the sanctity of the Sabbath, and urges all Protestants to safeguard in every possible way this heritage of our fathers. The new constitution was adopted. Grand Lodge now will be known as the Sovereign Grand Lodge of New Zealand and the Grand Master will bo known and . called Most Worshipful Grand Master. It was decided that dual installations be permitted on application to the Grand Executive.
Alterations to the rules were considered and referred to the Select Committee. It was decided to hold the next Grand Lodge session in Wellington at Easter, 1936. P.G.M. Wor. Bro. Dfcnald moved: That this Grand Lodge express its appreciation, of the two foundation members of the Grand Lodge, Wor. Bros. Cjaio- and Petherick, and that they be presented with a set of regalia. Also appreciation to the other three foundation members, Wor. Bros. Middleton, Ward and Parson, for their services. It was decided to forward a message of heartiest congratulations to his Majesty the King on his jubilee.
P.G.M Wor. Bro. .J. Aston was elected chairman of the Grand Lodge Parliamentary Committee. The appointment of the committee was referred to the Executive.
