GENERAL EVA BOOTH. FAREWELL TO AUSTRALIA. (United Press Association— Copyright) SYDNEY, April 23. General Evangeline Booth, world commander of the Salvation Army, departed for New Zealand to-night aboard the Wanganella. In a last message she said, "Farewell, dear Australia, You will ever live in riiy heart. "The love with which the people or Australia received me, the ready response given to my appeals, the enthusiasm with which the people have risen and their high standards of devotion and service to the Almighty have far surpassed my expectations. "The leaders of the Government have stirred my deep admiration by their devotion to the cause of the people, particularly the poor of their land. , . , . i j. "All have done their part, including the newspapers, to make my visit the unprecedented triumph which it has .been."
