ODDFELLOWS CONFER.

THE MANCHESTER UNITY. NEW ZEALAND BRANCH MEETING. (Pc Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The seventeenth Movable Conference of the New Zealand Branch of the Manchester Unity of the Independent Order of Oddfellows was opened this morning with a full attendance of delegates, their wives and friends. The Grand Master (Bra. T. J. Archbold) presided. In welcoming the Grand Master, Directors and Deputies, Bro. A. Gow (Grand Master of the North Canterbury District) said the year would be remembered as one of pleasant memories for the district. The New Zealand Branch had been in existence 33 years and this was the second occasion on. which the conference had been held in the district, also the second time that a Grand Master had been chosen from the district. He wished the visitors a | happy stay in Christchurch.
