TELEVISION IN GERMANY. MASS PRODUCTION OF SETS. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 9.35 a.m.) LONDON, March 24. The Berlin correspondent of the "Chronicle" reports as follows: "We have stolen a March on Britain. What has happened to-night in Berlin is what Britain proposed' to do next autumn," declared the Director of Radio (Herr Hadamovsky) after an audience of officials and newspaper representatives had witnessed "the world's first high-definition television programme." The programme included a Micky Mouse film, also a picture of Herr Hadamovsky reading a telegram to Herr Hitler.

There was noticeable flickering, biit Heir Hadamovsky declared that this would soon he overcome. Orders have already been given for mass production of television sets at a cost of £3O. Users would not be taxed, said the Director, who added that the national Labour demonstration on May 1 would be completely televised.
