HOCKEY.
ST. ANDREW'S MEN'S CLUB. The annual meeting of the St. Andrew's Men's Hockey Club was held last eevning. Mr S. McElhinney presided. The annual report stated that the senior team won the senior championship and the five-a-side tournament. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr J. Shaw; president, Mr W. J. Miller; vice-presidents, Messrs H. Silverwood, L. J. Watt and D. Heenan.; chairman, the Rev. R. S. Watson ; secretary-treasurer Mr D. E. Harwood; selection committee Messrs Harwood, H. Gowans and the captain; delegate to the Mid-Canterbury Men's Hockey sub-Association, Messrs Gowans and Harwood. It was decided to arrange a match, with the 'Varsity Club, Christchurch, at Easter. RAKAIA LADIES' CLUB. The annual meeting of the Rakaia Ladies' Hockey Club was held on Monday evening. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £lO 5s 4d. The following officers were elected: Patrons, Messrs J. Connolly, M.P. and C. Garrigan; president. Miss C. Shannon; secretary, Miss 81. Crossley; assistant secretary, Miss M. Rapley; treasurer, Miss M. "Turton; vice-presi-dents, Messrs J. J. O'Reilly, J. Allen, J. Connolly, W. J. Pye, fc». Connolly, H. Conway, H. Hopwood, W. J. Lee, G. McAnulty, J. F. Langley, W. F. Magson, W. Robinson, Mrs Kenward, Messrs G. Hardy, G. Wilkie, S. Bryant, Miss O. Stewart, Messrs Morris, R. A. Oakley, H. A. Harrison, E. Duncan and H. Donaldson; committee, Messrs A. Crossley, G. Tatterson, C. J. Ryan, H. Conway, B. McNamara. J. Pye and J. Nicol; club captain,' Mi3S Ei. Shannon. it was decided to ask Mr Nicol to act as coach, and to hold practices on Fridays. . -„ It was decided to enter a senior B team in County competitions, . Mr Wilson is to be asked to cut grass and V. Shannon to keep the grounds in order.
