WAIREKA v. ALLENTON. Waireka and Allenton croquet clubs met yesterday in the first round of the Gala Cup competition, Waireka winning by six games to two. The matches, which were played on the Waireka lawns, resulted as follow, Waireka names being mentioned first: Doubles: Miss R. E. Hardwick and Mrs E. Robilliard 26, Mrs L. Walker and Mrs J. Boothroyd 7 ; Mrs H. Samuels and Mrs J. Wilkie 16, Mrs E. C. Bathurst and Mrs E. S. Chambers 26;
Mrs Macmillan and Mrs Forsyth 26, Mrs R. W. Baxr and Mrs D. A. Morgan
Singles: Miss Hardwick 26, Mrs Walker 5; Mrs Robiliiard 26, Mrs Boothroyd 17 ; Mrs Samuels 26, Mrs E. C. Bathurst 15; Mrs Wilkie 0 } Mrs E. S. Chambers 26; Mrs Macmillan 26, Mrs Barr 22; Miss Forsyth 19, Mrs Morgan 12 (unfinished.) Waireka is tot play against Methven in the final.
