SERIOUS SITUATION.
FLOODS IN NORTH AUCKLAND. N AUCKLAND, March 14. Fierce claps of thunder and vivid lightning flashes accompanied 1 by heavy rain, have been sweeping the city and suburbs throughout the evening. Reports from Thames late to-night state that floods on the Hauraki Plains are threatening, while in North Auckland the situation is becoming more serious hour by hour.
