CARPENTERS' AWARD.

A COMPLETE AGREEMENT. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, March 1. Complete agreement on the subject of working hours and overtime rates was reached in the Conciliation Council to-day, in a dispute between the New Zealand Carpenters' and Joiners' Industrial Association of Workers and the New Zealand Federated Builders' and Contractors' Industrial Association of Employers. Bates of pay were fixed at 2s Id an hour. Hours of work will be the same as in the existing award. The overtime: rate will be time anda quarter for the first three hours. Improvers' pay is increased to Is Cd an hour. The agreement will take effect from April 5.
