ALLEGED CONVERSION OF CAR. MAN FROM MELBOURNE. ‘ GPer Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, This Day. 'At the Magistrate’s Court this morning an extradition order was granted on the application of Detec-tive-Sergeant O’Keefe, of Melbourne, against Norman Frederick Putt, a married man, aged 35, charged with having converted a car to his own use at Melbourne. Accused, who was arrested at Bluff on the arrival of the Maheno on her / last ti’ip, raised no objection to the order, .but the Magistrate refused to grant bail. 'Putt will sail for Australia in the Wanganella from Wellington •next week.
