The ''Manchester Guardian" says that the incipient Conservative movement in favour of a return to party government may soon be• irresistible. The Conservatives, the newspaper states, have seen the Prime Minister's authority destroyed without a protest. Reconstruction is urgently necessary, perhaps, by bringing in Mr Lloyd George. The opinion is expressed that it is doubtful if Mr Baldwin can any longer hold the party together behind the National Government.
