SYDNEY WOOL SALES. SYDNEY, February 19. At the wool sales to-day, 11,049 bales were offered and 9788 sold, while 864 were sold privately. There was good general competition and the market was fully firm at, yesterday's rates. Greasy merino sold to 14Jd.'

GRAIN AND PRODUCE. CHRISTCHURCH MARKETS. CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Only minor changes have taken place in the grain and produce markets in the last few days. The major portion of the wheat crop has been handled. Fowl wheat remains firm. The first of the season's red clover is coming on to the market and prices range from 8d to 9d per lb. The general quality of the Partridge peas offering is fairly good. Farmers are not keen sellers of potatoes, and the North Island demand is quiet. Prices haye eased slightly. The supply of onions has overtaken the demand and prices are somewhat weaker, with the market quiet. Following are nominal prices quoted to be paid to farmers on trucks at country stations, sacks extra unless otherwise mentioned:—

Milling wheat (new season's) —February delivery Tuscan 4s, Hunters 4s 2d, Pearl and Velvet 4s 4d, f.0.b., sacks extra

Fowl Wheat—3s 8d to 3s 9d a bushel.

Potatoes (April, May, June delivery) —White £4 ss, Sutton's and Dakotas £4 7s 6d. Onions—Prompt £6 10s to £6 15s. Rvegrass—Perennial, Italian and Western Wolths, 2s 6d to 3s. Cocksfoot —Akaroa', Sd to lOd. Oats—Gartons, Is lOd to 2s Id; Algerians Is 9d to 2s, Duns Is 9d to 2s a bushel, according to quality.

Chaff—£2 7s 6d a ton. Clovers—White 6cl to 9d, red 8d to 9d. Linseed—£l2 a ton. Partridge Peas—4s 2d to 4s 6d. Bran—Local £4 10s, shipping £4 6s. Pollard—Local £5 15s, shipping £5 5s Flour—Local £l2 12s, shipping £ll 17s, with the usual increments for smaller packings. AUCKLAND MARKETS. . AUCKLAND, February 19. Oats and Chaff—There is a moderate inquiry for horse feed. The southern market for oats is firm, and local merchants are now asking 3s 6d per bushel, through store, for B Gartons. Chaff is unchanged at £7 10s to £7 12s 6d per ton. Wheat—Supplies of fowl wheat from the south are readily obtainable, but the market there is very firm, and the local price for graded lines has risen to 5s 8d per bushel. Maize has a firming tendency, and the price has been advanced to 4s 7d. Potatoes—Supplies of potatoes from Pukekohe are now available, but owing to recent scarcity, merchants have diverted' their orders to the Manawatu. The quality from that source is variable. Latest quotations are a little easier at about £l2 10s per ton, through store. Small lots of Canter-bury-grown have reached the market, but it will be a few weeks yet before they are available in quantity. Onions 'are coming forward freely from Canterbury, and have a fair market at about lis 6d per cental.
