CONTROL OF THE SAAR
THE AGREEMENT SIGNED. (United Press Association—Copyright) NAPLES, Feb. 18. The agreement handing over the Saar to Germany has been signed, and provides: Firstly, cession of mines from France to Germany. Secondly, insurance of French private citizens and all workmen in the Saar. Thirdly, transfer of administration to Germany. Baron Aloisi presided, and the French and German Ambassadors, and Mr Geoffrey Knox (Chairman of the Saar Governing Commission), and the League of Nations sub-committee were also present. -
