The People’s Court sentenced to death for espionage and higlv treason Baron Sosnowski, a Polish officer. Three women—Frau yon Berg, l'ranlein von Natzmer and Fraulem von Jena were sentenced to life nnpnsonThe .parties were arrested m April, 1934 The trial began a week ago. ine two single women were employed at the War Office and allegedly supplied Sosnowski with copies of documents relating to the expansion of the German Army. The women’s extravagance in dress aroused suspicion. It is understood that Sosnowski and Frau von Berg were married during their long imprisonment, the latter having obtained a divorce. As a result Sosnowski refused an offer of repatriation to Poland as an exchange prisoner.
