ENGLAND TO CANADA I. . ■ FARM SCHOOL PURCHASED. (United Press Association—Copjyright.) LONDON, February 14. As the result of an appeal by the Prince of Wales, a fund has reached £60,000, from which the Child Emigration Society has purchased a thousand acres of land on Vancouver Island and established a Fairbridge Farm School, similar to that in Western Australia.
“The Times,” in a leading article, says that child emigration is the only form of organised settlement of the Dominions which has survived the recent difficult years.
NEW, ZEALAND NEXT? t LONDON, February 15. The Australian Press Association understands that the Child Emigration Society is contemplating the establishment of two more new schools, probably in Queensland and New Zealand.
