On the Awamoa links in beantiful weather this afternoon, Gene Sarazen. played an exhibition match, in which he 'lowered! the course record by, six strokes, with a brilliant round of 68. Partnered with J. A. R. Scott, the local champion, Sarazen finished 4 up and 2 against A. J. Shaw, New Zealand open champion, and E. Dalton, the local professional. Sarazen went out in 37 and played great jjolf to come home in 31, including four consecutive birdies. Shaw's round was a solid to. His long game was sound, but ne. missed easy shots on the green. Sarayen, commenting on the links stated that the greens were better than any he had plaved on in Australia.
