SHARP EARTHQUAKES
PAHIATUA DISTRICT SHAKEN SEVERAL TREMORS REPORTED. (Per Press Association). PAHITUA, November 26. An unusually long spell of hot weather lias been interrupted by several sharp earthquakes, the worst being a violent jolt this afternoon at 12.12. Buildings creaked alarmingly.. The earthquake lasted a very few seconds! There was a noticeable absence of swaying both before and after the shock. *
