MAJESTIC THEATRE. Bringing back to life the characters that for sixty-five years, through the power of the written word, have been the ideal of American girlhood. ‘ Little Women,” will be screened to-night and on Monday night at the Majestic Theatre. Made strictly in accordance witu the author’s original story, Little Women” stars Katharine Hepburn as Jo. Jo’s three sisters, are portrayed by Joan Bennett as Amy, Frances Dee as Meg and Jean Parker as Beth. Their suitors, who supply the romance around which the beautiful story revolves, are portrayed by Paul Lukas as Fritz Bhaer, Douglass Montgomery as Laurie and Joint Davis Lodge as Brooke. Marmce, the lovable, idealistic mother,, is enacted by Spring Byington. The incomparable Edna May Oliver appeals as grumpy old Aunt March and Henry Stephenson enacts the role of irascible old Mr Lawrence, whose bark is worse than his bite, and whose heart is as big as all outdoors.
