A report supplied to the "Oamaru Mail" by the local secretary states: "The meeting was addressed by Dr. Campbell Begg and Dr. Eea (Timaru). In the course of discussion it became obvious that some members of the iocal division disagreed with the methods proposed, regarding political action, and it was finally decided that a special meeting will be necessary to decide the future action of the Oamaru Division."
