For falsifying pay and time sheets on the Khandallah relief works, with the result that he obtained £lO 5s from the Wellington City Council, Phillip Augustus Kesler was sentenced by Mr E. W. Page, S.M., to six months' imprisonment. There were six charges. The police said that Kesler had been employed at a time-keeper from November 16 to February 10, and had included'in his returns men not actually working on the job. He was a man with previous convictions.
