A Press Association from Wellington states that Mr T. Lisle, of Wellington, has been official organiser for the ISew Zealand Legion.
A motion of sympathy with Mr S. H. Lill (president) and Mrs Lill in the death of Mrs LilPs mother was passed at the meeting of the Ashburton branch of the New Zealand Farmers Union this afternoon.
A motion of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mrs W. J. Brown, a member of the croquet section for some years, was passed at the ..annual meeting of the Allenton Sports Club last evening.
A unanimous decision to extend a call to the Rev. A. Bryan Kilroy, M.A., minister of St. Paul's Church, Oamaru, was made by the annual meeting of the congregation of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Wellington. The charge has been vacant since the Rev. R. J. Howie left in April to accept the charge of Malvern, Melbourne.
