Lovelock's running, and declare that if he had been pressed in the mile at the Empire Games, he could have beaten another record. . To-day events produced an ext *' a ~ ordinary disparity of ages and build. Richardson, sinner of the long jump, is nearlv a six-footer, but is only 15 years of age, while the diminutive Canadian, H. Wyer, who was fifth in the Marathon, is 49 years old and only five feet one inch in height.
