SCOUT ACTIVITIES
THE ST. STEPHEN'S. TROOP.
WINNERS QiF BADGES. At the break-up at the end of last term a mock court was held by the St. Stephen's Troop of Boy Scouts. Mr A. M. Meredith acted as judge, and other members' of the troop took the parts of different court officers. The opening night of this term was arranged as a Taniwha Council for the whole troop, at which the Pan-Pacific Jamboree was. fully discussed. Reports were received from the patrol leaders concerning last term's work. Tins term the troop is taking up toy-mak-ing, and it is expected that this work will be very popular. Badge Examinations.—As several examiners have, been obtained, some of the boys have succeeded in winning proficiency badges. The following are ing results:—Cyclists' badge: Troop Leader D. Choate and Patrol Leader C. Chambers. Ambulance Cadge-: Troop Leader D. Choate, Patrol Leaders C. Chambers, J. Miles and E. Stayt, Patrol Second G. Miles, and Scout G. Berry. Second class: Scout 0. Moore. Troop Leader D.'Choate has now wun seven badges in all, and is entitled fa wear his first all-round cord.
On Saturday, May__26, the troop played a seven-a-siae game> of football with the Staveley troop, in which St. Stephen's was beaten by 29 points to nil. •'•',■, • The Wolf Cub Pack has been divided into two sections, the second pack, which meets on Thursday nights, being under the troop leaders and patrol leaders.
