METHODIST YOUNG MEN.
FUNCTIONS AT BARING SQUARE CHURCH. < ■ • With representatives attending from classes in Oamaru, Timaru and Temuka, as well as members from Tinwald, Willowby and Maronan, the week-end rally organised by the Baring Square Methodist Young Men's Bible Classes opened on Saturday. The social function on Saturday evening was attended by about 80 young people and was most successful. There was a large attendance in the church yesterday afternoon when, in addition to the visitors, representatives of the Young Men's Bible Classes .of other denominations were present. The Rev. R. McGregor, of Willowby, conducted the service and welcomed the visitors, and an inspiring address was givfen by the Rev. W. E. Moore, of Rakaia. Wet weather caused the postponement of several fixtures arranged for to-day and delegates had a free day/ A. seven-a-side Rugby football tourney and a '/hike" had been set down, but were both abandoned.
