QUEER WEATHER EXPERIENCED.

THE PEOPLE PANIC-STRICKEN. (United Press Association—Copyright CALCUTTA, June 2. Following the heavy rain of the past few days there was another severe earthquake 'at 1 o'clock this morning, at Muzaffarpur, where 2500 persons were killed in January. The whole town was again severely shaken, walls of many damaged houses collapsing. Thus far no casualties have been reported. The population had been in a state of panic since sunset yesterday when the atmosphere was hot and deadly still. It was followed an hour later by a terrific hailstorm, during which the town was plunged in darkness and telephones and telegraphs were dislocated. . The tremors lasted for five seconds. They were preceded by a peculiar humming noise. The shock was felt at Calcutta.
