GERMANY ARMING

FOREIGN 'PLANES AND ARMS.

INTERNAL TRADE IMPROVES,

OVERSEAS BUSINESS FALLING.

BRITISH JOURNALIST'S OPINION

(United Press Association —Copyright). (Received This Day, 10.15 a.m.) LONDON, ...une 3. <■ Mr .Stephens, the journalist who was expelled from Germany, says he is determined to tell what is happening in Germany. Her foreign traders dwindling alarmingly every month due to.the depreciation of the pound and dollar and the boycott by Jews. On the contrary, her home trade, stimulated by Herr Hitler, has improved out of recognition. Unemployment has been halved. Gigantic labour schemes are in full swing. The people are spending freely but a desperate shortage of foreign currency is hindering imports of the necessary raw materials. "I. believe that Herr Hitler will last," says Mr Stephens. "He retains a hold .on the mass of the people who: have no alternative to him, but a,,military dictatorship or Bolshevism. Ido not foresee either. Germany is arming faster than, any other nation. All the available foreign currency is tfoing-into foreign-made aeroplanes and armaments, but there is a long way to go before she will have sufficient machinery or money for an immediate war. I do not think it will come to an offensive war by Germany. My advice tjot Britain is to keep out."
