MOTOR-CAR HATER.
■PRESIDENT OF CAB DRIVERS. Mr Claud F. Goddard, presiding at the annual metineg of the Cab Drivers' Benevolent Association in London, recently, declared himself on the side of those who hate motor-cars. "I am just old enough to remember the time when if I was living 20 miles out of London, I used to drive a dog-cart out and back," he said. * "I only wish those days could come back again. With the first money I was able to earn I.bought my first horse and I shall go on keeping horses as long as I can afford to. The next best thing to following the hounds when they are running hard is sitting on a box and driving four horses."
