• MAJESTIC THEATRE. The screen version of Robert E. Sherwood's "Reunion in Vienna," which concludes its Ashburton season at the Majestic Theatre to-night, is a credit to Hollywood. The play remains intact on the screen, with the exception of a few added touches here and there, notably in the opening scenes, which show the glory pf the imperial court during the pompous reign of Emperor Franz Josef, a prelude, as it wore, to the body of Sherwood's piece. This adds spectacle and colour to the film and presents scenes not possible to have included in, the stage production. With John Barry™ ol " o starred and Diana Wynyard heading the supporting cast, "the iilmisation achieves the happiest of results. Pictorially it has a fluid beauty that enhances it vastly and adds a glamorous background for the brilliant dialogue. Delightful Viennese waltzes set a tantalising tempo to the romance. Barrymore is at his best as the Barrymorish Hapsburgh and offers as engaging a portrayal as he has yet accomplished.
