FRENCH QUOTAS
DISCRIMINATION RESENTED. BRITAIN WILL NOT ACCEPT. TO FIND OWN WAY OUT. (Unted Press Association —Copyright). This Day, 11.15 a.m., LONDON, January 28. The French quota proposals were discussed by the Parliamentary Secretary of the Board of Trade (Dr. Leslie Burgin) before the British Chamber of Commerce in Paris. He said that the British could never accept the discrimination such as seemed to result from the recent concessions by France to "Belgium and the United States.
He hoped that they would find their own way out of the position, but in hqr trading relations with other countries, Britain would never tolerate discrimination. The British Ambassador at Paris would, if he had not already done so, notify the French Government of Britain’s decision to take action if this policy of discrimination was continued.

(Received This Day, 1.35 p.m.) LONDON, /January 28, The “Observer” says that following discussions, France has restored the full quota of many of the cotton tissues.
