At the Canterbury amateur cycling championship meeting G. R. Giles scored decisively in the half mile, one mile, and three mile events, making a clean sweep of the .titles. Frank Grose and T. A. Grose, prominent riders, during the past season were ’competing at Wellington; and therefore Giles’s task was made easier.
