SPECIAL ATTRACTIONS. CHRISTCHURCH, January 26. The committee of the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club has provided special attractions on its Easter programme in view of the expected visit of the crack Sydney pacer Walla Walla. There will bo an invitation scratch race each day for a stake of 500 sovs, the first day at a mile and the second day at a mile and a half. The club will nominate horses to oppose Walla Walla in these events. The chief two-mile race each day will have a stake of 500 sovs, the class being fixed at 4.28.

ENGLISH GRAND NATIONAL. LONDON, January 25. In the weights for- the Grand National Steeplechase, Gregalach is top weight with 12.7, followed by Thomond Tl. 12.4, Golden Milleiy 12.2, Millionaire 11. (winner of the French Grand National) 12.2, Crackle 12.1, Lomus 11.9, Forbra 11.7, Debaneige 11.6, Pelorous Jack 11.2 and Annandale 10.9. » RANDWICK MEETING. SYDNEY, January 26. The Anniversary meeting of the Australian Jockey Club was concluded at Randwick. to-day in line weather and with a large crowd. The principal events resulted as follow : Kuril ell Handicap, of .100 sovs;, six furlongs—Dame Moab 1, Tom Pinch 2, Some Boy 3. Won by a length and a half; half a length between second and third. Time, I.IOJ— equalling the Randwick record. Adrian Knox Stakes, of 10 sovs each, with 1,000 sovs added; Tor three-yearo-ld fillies; one mile—Leila Vale 1, Air Queen 2, Headgale 3. Eight horses started, including Fl'imzel. Won by two lengths and a half; the third horse four lengths away. Time, 1.37. Anniversary Handicap, of 800 sovs;, one mile and sx half —Clever Fox 1, Broad Arrow 2, Wicklow 3. Won by half a head; three lengths separating second and third. Time, 2.30—a course record. Havilah Handicap, of 300 sovs; for two-year-olds; five furlongs and a half—Sir John 1, Subsidy 2, Constantine 3. Won by five lengths; with half a length between second and third. Time, 1.51 —a course record.
