MOVEMENT IN BRITAIN. BUILDING SOCIETIES’ WORK. (United Press Association— Copyright). LONDON, January 25. Since the War, building societies in Britain have advanced £720,000,000, and about half of the 2,000,000 houses erected in that period have received financial assistance lrom them. The building societies have now promised their co-operation in a scheme designed to facilitate the building of bouses for letting to lower-paid wngeenrners.—British Official Wireless.
