EDUCATIONAL. TECHNICAL DAY* SCHOOL. RE-OPENS MONDAY, sth FEBRUARY, 1934. TIE SCHOOL is Free to Proficiency JL and Competency Certificate Holders and others in or above Standard IV., between the ages of 14 and 17 years. Students in any of the following courses may take MATRICULATION Examination if desired:— 1. DOMESTIC SCIENCE.—An ideal course for girls. Part, at least, of this course should be taken by all girls. The Cookery, Dressmaking, and Millinery Rooms are all comfortable, well lighted, and splendidly equipped. 2. COMMERCIAL COURSE, which, in addition to a sound general education, gives students a practical grounding in Book-keeping, Shorthand, Typing and Office Routine. All the instructors bring to their work long and varied office experience, while the equipment is such as to give each student the maximum of practice in up-to-date . methods.

3. AGRICULTURAL COURSE—This is,, perhaps, the most suitable course for lads from the country. It is run as nearly as possible under farm conditions, and is a splendid course for teaching the lads self-reliance. Besides the cultural subjects, practice is given in sheep .husbandry, blacksmithing, carpentry, oil engines, electricity, and wool-classing. 4. TRADES-ENGINEERING COURSE •wishing to study for a Trade. Its aim is to educate on the most up-to-date lines. The shops arc fully equipped with all kinds of machinery, and the instructors are men of wide, practical experience. 5. ARTS COURSE.—This will be worked in with either the Domestic or the Commercial Courses, or it can be specialised in by senior students. Office Open for Enrolment and advice from the 29th January.
