ROSS BEATS PETROLLE. NEW YORK, January 25: The light-weight champion, Barney Ross, beat Billy Petrolle on points m 10 rounds. The bout was not for the title. Ross weighed 9st 1031 b, and Petrolle lOst IJlb. Ross won every round by his brilliant boxing. • After the bout, Petrolle, who was once considered the hardest-hitting light-weight, announced liiis retirement.
