The president, Mr J. M. Jenkins, referred to the increasing practice of installing wireless sets in cars, stating that from his own observations Jie had concluded that the practice was not in the best interests of a safety first campaign. It. needed little imagination to visualise the confusion arising on the arrival of five cars with wireless sets going at an intersection at the same time. The warning devices would be worse than useless and Iha drivers' attention would bo anywhere but on the traffic. He had been Informed that at Home it was an offence to have a wireless set which was audible outside the car in which it was installed. Members concurred with the chairman and it was decided to forward the remit to the conference.
