MOTOR-CYCLING.

HILL CLIMB ARRANGED. A meeting of the committee of the Ashburton Motor Cycling Club was held last evening, when the president (Mr R. P. Ghibnall) presided. Arrangements for the Club's annual grass hill climb on the property of Mr W. R. Glasson, at Cavendish, on December 10, were finalised. It was decided to include in the next half-yearly programme a motor cycle race meeting on a private race track owned by Mr G. Sewell, of Tinwald. It was decided to make a motion picture record of the Club's future activities. Officials for the hill climb were appointed as follow:—Judge, Mr J. R. Leask; timekeeper, Mr W. J. Preddy; starter, Mr Ron Leask; machine examiner, Mr W. J. Preddy; marshal, Mr G. T. Clarke.
