RECENT REMARKABLE ADVANCE. SHOW AT LONDON OLYMPIA. (United Press Association— Copyright). :. LONDON, Nov. 1. The great advance of the diesel, or compression ignition type of engine, as apnlied to motor buses and! coaches and goods transport vehicles, is one of the most striking features of thd commercial motor transport exhibition which opens at Olympia to-morrow. One luxurious thirty-seater coach is shown, which runs at a fuel cost of one farthing a mile. Self-changing 'gear' boxes are fitted to many of the uassenger coaches exhibited," some having eight 'different forward speed ratios. 1 . * .; The biggest exhibit is a sixty-nine-seater rail coach fitted with the latest type of London bus engine, similar to that with which a speed of 106 miles an hour was recently attained at Brooklands.
