TECHNICAL SCHOOL.

DECISIONS OF THE BOARD. The Ashhurton Technical School Board of Managers met last evening, when there were present Messrs A. L. Jones (chairman), J. .Watson, W. G. Hillier, E. Buchanan, W. Bramley, A. brown and R. Houston. The financial statement showed that there was a credit balance of £IBB 10s Id, the incidental allowance for the month being £55. Tne Principal (Mr R, J. On Inday last the annual dinner provided by the students was given to members or the Borough and County Councils, 'the function was most successful, the solid four-course meal being set out in a. surprisingly dainty manner. "Mr Andrew? Brown, of Elgin, has been chosen as a representative of the Canterbury Education Board oil tho board. The annual sports will be held on the school grounds on Thursday, October 26. During the month, two girls and one boy have obtained positions making a total of of 33 up (to date for the present year.
