LOSS BY FIRE.

GARAGE AT GISBORNE. (Per Press Association). GISBORNE, Sept. 15. Local enterprise suffered a setback this morning when a garage occupied by the New Zealand Motor Manufacturing Co., whoso headquarters are at Gisborne, was entensively gutted by fire. Two cars completed by the company as demonstration units were practically destroyed, but »' smaller model not yet completed escaped. Three other cars which were in the garage for repairs were substantially damaged, and the fire also took toll of expensive machinery recently installed. The insurance on the contents totalled £2435. The building was not seriously affected.
