MORE VIOLENCE
PEIWSYLVANIAN COALFIELDS. SIXTEEN WOUNDED BY SHOT. MARTIAL LAW POSSIBLE. (United Press Association—Copyright). (Received This Day, 9 a.m.) WASHINGTON!, September 15. There has lieen a recurrence of wholesale violence in the Pennsylvania coalfields, where 16 men,' including a deputy-sheriff, were shot and more or less seriously wounded. The Governor of Pennsylvania (Mr Denchot) intimated that he was prepared to declare martial law if necessary. Federal conciliators have been sent to the scene to attempt to effect a settlement.
