PERSONAL.

The Rev. Clyde L. Carr, M.OP-, and Mr F. Langstone, MjP., passed through Ash burton on the south-bound express train this morning.

Mr F. Pawson /(senior railway business agent, Christchurch) arrived in Ashbur.ton by the express train from the north this morning.

Mr D. Rodie (commercial manager of the New Zealand Railways) was a passenger for the south by the express train this morning.

Mr M. Bruce has returned to Ashburton from Christchurch, where he underwent an operation in a private hospital. He is reported to he much improved in health.

Mr A. N. Grigg, of Surrey Hills, Ashburton, has been appointed judge of the saddle cobs and ponies at the Metropolitan Show in Christchurch .this year. Mr D. Robertson, Launston, will judge the fat sheep classes.
