MR S. M. BRUCE.

ACCEPTANCE OF NEW POST. (United Press Association—Copyright). LONDON, Sept. 11. The "Daily Express" says that Mr S. M. Brace's acceptance of the High Commissionership has only been postponed three greeks to allow his resignation from the Cabinet to reach Australia by air-mail. It is known that five or six leading politicians in the Commonwealth, seeing no hope of advancement to the Cabinet, have been eager to secure the High Commissionership. Mr Bruce's acceptance of the post indicates that he has turned his back on domestic politics. Probably his chance of attaining high office in Australia has become remote during his resident ministership. He conducted financial negotiations of the greatest importance to the satisfaction of his in the Ministry.
