CHILLED BEEF.
TWO AUSTRALIAN SHIPMENTS.
VICTORIA MAKES A TRIAL
(United Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 10.5 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 11.
The shipment of chilled beef from Aberdeen Meat Works, New South Wales, landed from the steamer Mooltan in excellent condition, with only slight mould. The quality was firstclass. Importers consider it the best yet received from New South Wales. The first shipment of Victorian chilled beef by the steamer Berribee showed considerable mould, especially in the crops, necessitating much cutting. The quality of the meat was excellent. Smithfield experts consider the shipment not unsatisfactory for a first experiment.
