BLACKMAIL CHARGE.
TWO ACCUSED REMANDED. (Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 28. Paku Kingi, a. Maori labourer, 52 years of age, and Claude McEwen, a hawker, aged 29, were charged in the Petone Court to-day that, with intent to extort £5, they accused Alfred Grassi of an indecent assault. A remand was granted till September 4. Bail was allowed, and the accused were ordered to report to the police daily.
