An unemployed married man with five children, was before the Court today charged with having driven a motor ear, %vhile intoxicated. In placing defendant on probation for two years and cancelling his license, the Magistrate (Mr Levvey), expressed the opinion that the only remedy was imprisonment. He here issued a warning that no matter the circumstances, if people chose .to drive vehicles while in a state of intoxication, the couit could give no option of a fine.
