MAN WITH HARD HEAD
JOURNEY WITH BROKEN SKULL. A man has walked 50 miles with a broken skf.ll, at Klutch, in Bosnia. His name is Ertzeg Luk, and the feat has made his famous as “the man with a head like stone.” Ertzeg met a party of drunken men on the road, and one of them threw a huge stone at him. It struck him full on the forehead* The stone was ■shattered. Ertzeg was put on a. stretcher, and taken to a doctor, who found that the skull was broken, and that an immediate operation was necessary. Ertzeg who was fully conscious again by this time, was put in a motor ambulance to be taken 50 miles to a hospital. A few minutes later the ambulance reached the police station. “Stop,” cried Ertzeg and insisted on getting out to tell the police the name and address 1 of the man who had thrown the stone at him. Then ho would not get. back into the ambulance, but set out to walk to Banja Luka, and covered 50 miles in two days. At Banja Luka the operation was performed—successfully—and now Ertzeg is almost well again. ' b'-'V.V *i. - 1 -« ~> t*s f* f
