A Royal Air Force reconnaisance ’plane was fired on by tribesmen neai the frontier village of Lalcad. dhe ’plane retaliated, dropping bombs on the village, thus ending the sniping. HOSTILE TRIBES DISPERSE. CALCUTTA, August 8. The forces of hostile tribesmen which gathered on the North-west Frontier of India last- week are believed to be dispersed. The British and Indian troops are continuing their march towards Bajaui. There has been no further bombing.
