The Government Aleteorologist, at noon to-day, issued .the following statement regarding the weather:— General inference: Pressure is high to the north of New Zealand, while to •.the southward a series of shallow westerly depressions continue to pass. fho forecast for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamnru is as follows: Aloderato to fresh north to west winds hacking in places to south-westerly tomorrow. Weather: Fair and mild, hut some showers .probable later along the coast cf South Canterbury. Seas: Moderate.
