SOUTH ISLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS (Per Press Association). INVERCARGILL, June 16. The South Island dog trial championships were continued at Masterton today, competition being very keen. Some splendid runs were witnessed. Results:— HEADING, PULLING AND YARDING. L. H. Tilson's Don, 142 i points ... 1 J. D. Purdue's Sweep, 138| points 2 A. T. Miller's Runt, 138£ points ... 3 W. E. Hazlett?s Glen, 136* points 4 A. T. Miller's Dusky, 133* points ... 5 L. Charleson's Skip, 133 points ... 6 It is expected that Class 3 (huntawa'y and slew) will be completed to-morrow.
