WINTER SHOW.
THE CONCLUDING AWARDS The Ashburton Fanciers' Society's annual Winter Shew, was concluded last evening and was well patronised. Several side-shows were conducted, .but the chief interest of those who attended was centred in the exhibits. Special prizes awarded yesterday afternoon after the "Guardian" went to press were : Cat Section—Most points .Persians: Mrs E. Collett; most points neuter Persians, Mrs C. Bruce; most points Persian kittens, Mrs E. Collett; most points short-haired cats, Miss Ngaire Turner. Rabbit Section—Most points Angoras over eight months, W. J. Rathie; most points Angoras under eight mouths, 11. Hopwood; most points Angoras, R. Hopwood; most points Siamese sables, C. J. Hopwood; Marten sables, C. J. Hopwood ; most points sable Rex, Selwvn Rabbit Farm.
Winter Show Section—Specials: Potatoes and roots: F. South. Potatoes: A. J. Breakwell. Turnips: F. South. Mangolds: F. South. Garden produce: F. South. Dog Section—Society's trophy most points in dog section: N. S. Brosnan (seocnd time in succession). Specials: Best Cocker Spaniel in Show: X. S. Brosnan. Cocker Spaniel opposite sex: N. S, Brosnan. Cocker Spaniel puppy: N. S. Brosnan. Fox Terrier: W. M. Jack. Best dog hi show: W. M.. Jack. Irish Terrier, dog or hitch: G. Dundy. Best bulldog: Mrs H. S. Mitchell. Best Pekinese: Mr M. H. Mac Gibbon. Best smooth-coated Collie: C. 1.. Hcpwood. Best rough-coated Collie: Master Allen Beach. B"st bearded Collie door or bitch: E. "l. McGuigan. Best roughcoated Collie: Master Allen Beach.
