TINWALD TOWN BOARD

RATE STRUCK FOR YEAR ♦ The Timvald Town Board met last evening, when there were present Messrs H. 13. Millichamp (chairman). A. Watson, J. L. Soal, W. Bryant and H. W. Car pen dale. The Ashburton Hospital Board wrote advising that the hoard’s hospital levy for the year ending March 31. 1934, would be £Bl. 3s. The question of the scale of charges for the hire of the Town Hall was discussed and it was decided that the clerk (Mr J. 13. Nicoll) should obtain particulars of .the scale of fees for similar halls in the Ashburton Borough, to be placed before the next meeting. At a special meeting of the board, it was decided to strike a general rate of Id in the £ on the rateable values of the rateable properties within the town district, and to make a uniform sanitation fee of 25s for the vear ending March 31. 1934.
